Monochromatic Glamour!

via Ruthie Sommers website

via Domino Magazine
I just love Ruthie Sommers style! Both these pictures show a fairly neutral palate of black and cream colouring with touches of silver which just look sensational together. Classically understated glamour! I would love to have enough light to be able to paint a room black like in the first pic but I don't know if I would have the courage! Tracey x

The first pic is STUNNING! What a beautiful beautiful room. You are so right, the key to successfully painting a room black is all about the light.

Painting that first room black was a really bold move, but she pulled it off. It looks just beautiful!

I dont think I could ever do bold... you are so right.. it is all about the light. I have included Porchlight Interiors in a little challenge I am having over at my blog. Don't blame me, I couldn't say no to my friend in Norway and it just escalated from there! A-M xx

I knew Anna would be right on this post as soon as I saw the tufted sofa! What a talent Ms. Ruthie is.

That black room is so well done but I really love the cushion in the second pic.
