I've been trying to decide on dining room chairs for ages - these Tolix chairs are one of the favourites and so practical for the boys (I don't think they could wreck them). For some reason I find it difficult to make these decisions for my own home - its so much easier to decide for other people! It's to go with a white French table - opinions please!!!

True...it looks like they're indestructible. But I find them a little cold. But you can still probably do something with them to make them warm looking for your dining room.

I personally like the look of them, and they'd wipe down well.

They do look very boy proof...however would the floor hold up to them in the hands of boys?

I have the tolix stools at my kitchen bench- they not only look beautiful but they are so practical. The greeny-grey of the steel looks gorgeous against the painted white cabinetry and white caesarstone in our kitchen.

I'm loving these chairs, I saw them a couple of months ago in Paris and now I keep seeing them everywhere, funny how that happens. I say go for it, they are classic, stunning and still have a slightly modern industrial edge that keeps them interesting.

I love these chairs. They do seem very "boy-proof," and it sounds like they would pair perfectly with your table.

Ooh there's another Catherine out there!
I love these tolix chairs - industrial, but with elegant curves. A design classic and so very french. I think the juxtaposition of industrial chairs against a weathered wooden table would look fabulous.

I like the chairs too and I agree with you its so much harder doing your own home, sometimes we need to be a bit practical but they look great so I say go for it and you could always make some slip covers to change the look!

I have these chairs in red around my white farm table and I love them! They are really strong and look charming in the room. You will love them.

They look super - I love the mix of a white french table and metal chairs. Are they comfy (I have never sat on any) and do they have good protectors on the bottom of the legs (partly for the floors and partly for the noise factor - I have boys too!)? They would look great with some of those lights that A-M is chasing!!

They would look awesome with that style of table. I have seen them in a clients house recently with a different sort of table, but she had covered just the tops with slip covers to change the mood for a party she was having.
I would love to see the photos when you are done.

I have been thinking of these chairs myself. Love the utilitarian look.

Great chairs, love the juxtaposition of 2 totally different styles. Wicker is also good with white French table.

You will not make the mistake with them!!

Hi Tracey.
I love these chairs. I like to infuse a little industrial look to my interiors, especially because I share a home with my two boys and Steve.
I especially like industrial when it is paired with more
rustic or feminine pieces. It provides more interest.
I'd love to see pictures when you make the final decision.
