Doing Hollywood In Style!

I have a list of gorgeous hotels around the world that I would love to stay in if I ever happen to travel to that destination! The Chateau Mamont is my pick for Hollywood. Such an amazing history with so many big name stars choosing to stay here since it opened in the 1930's.

So glamourous!

Beautiful gardens!

Gorgeous views overlooking the Hollywood Hills area!

Such classic styling - my favourite!

How stunning is the pool area!

Modelled after the Chateau d'Amboise in The Loire Valley in France it has many stunning features to keep the design obsessed happy!

When can I go? I'll just keep dreaming for now! I would love to know if any of you have stayed here - just so I can be jealous of you! Tracey x

such great taste-don't be jealous but I have stayed there quite a bit :) My husband and I went on our first date there, had wine and a light dinner in the lobby and then stayed there together ( a MAJOR extravagance-long story!! ) for 2 weeks..The pool, outdoor restaurant and whole vibe are great.

When you do go to LA-have dinner outside by candlelight, or meet friends for Sunday brunch.
For a few hours you will be transported the same way.

I agree with you about the Chateau Mamont. The last time I was in LA I went there and had tea on their fabulous patio!

Steve and I stayed at the Chateau Marmont a few years ago. It was a fantastic experience. We felt like we were going back in time to the days when Hollywood was truly glamorous.

We didn't stay there, but we did go for an early dinner/appetizer/drink thingy there one late afternoon - I was anxious to see some stars!!! we were unlucky in that dept. But it is such a moody place, very dark, luscious, hard to believe you are in L.A. when you are there! Def. worth a visit.

Yes, I stayed there on a recent trip to the States - a dream of mine also! It is such an amazing place, a labyrinth of rooms and indoor/outdoor spaces. We stayed in a cottage just beyond the pool - with the original refrigerator and stovetop in the kitchen. What struck me just as much as the beautiful decor were the delightful staff and other lodgers - sitting on the large sofas in the main foyer come restaurant was like hanging out at a friends house - everyone was so friendly and chatty - it was like hanging out with family.
Hope you make it there soon Tracey - it is a wonderful experience.

I just came back from L.A.. I stayed at Chateau Marmont for 8 days. It was a great experience. I was there for business so fortunately my company paid the bill! ;-) You really feel like a star. For me as an European the building itselve wasn't very special, but the vibe was great!
