It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like a Kitchen!

After weeks with no kitchen, my new kitchen finally started being installed yesterday! All of the cabinets are in but I'm waiting on the stone benchtop to be installed tomorrow, then handles etc later in the week! As it is not photo worthy yet, I'm posting some of the kitchens that inspired me along the way! Enjoy!
Absolutely love this image from "this photographers life"! I haven't been quite brave enough to paint all of my walls black yet but I love, love, love this!

I found this image on the "kelly green" blog - very inspiring!

A "Domino" magazine classic!

Can't find the source of this one (am happy to be reminded)! Simply gorgous!

From "House Beautiful" magazine! Can't beat simple white dinner set with the black background to set it off! Can't wait to have some pics of my own! Tracey xx

Hey how nice: your taste in kitchendesign is Belgium/Dutch and the kind one can find in South Africa too.
I have Japanese shiny red, black and with beautiful black cabinet for porcelain/glasses.
Hope it will all go satisfactory for you , you will be so happy when you can start using the new kitchen.
I'll be around for sure.

I love black kitchen cabinets. I have just completed a new home with a service kitchen/working pantry behind the main kitchen. We did the cabinets black with a Walker Zanger hexagonal tumbled limestone tile and black squares. They go almost to the ceiling between the cabinets over the sink. It really turned out nice. Will be posting pictures of the entire house in a few weeks. I think you might enjoy it. Can't wait to see the finished pictures of your project.

So beautiful! I am totally with you on the black. Despite my Swedish genes I am so on a black streak right now and am painting things left and right.

Can't wait to see the real deal.

I just love this black... it frames everything. I chose it for my blog background even though it is a pain from time to time! Your choice of photos is just wonderful and is inspiring me to feel bold when redecorating!

I'm loving all these dark kitchens. They're so sophisticated and such a nice department from the ubiquitous white kitchen. Now I'm dying to see how yours looks...

black is fabulous.
every time i see it in a room,
whether it is in the fabrics, or on the walls,or on the cabinetry.....
i am reminded of just how much i love it.
and how special 'black' can be!
btw,
my master bath has all lacquered
black walls - with a gold & silver hand painted floral on the ceiling.
