During our holiday to the USA, we did a road trip from San Diego out to Vegas. If you have never done it, I would highly recommend you do. We drove in to the city of light just on dusk and it was amazing. So glad we had a GPS though. It was hard to take our eyes off all the dazzling lights and famous buildings as we drove in. While we were there for only three days we stayed at the palatial Venetian hotel. It is incredibly large, no expense spared with antique Italian furniture, large column hallways going off in many directions, painted ceilings, and beautiful fountains around the hotel. It really was an amazing copy of the real thing including the front of the hotel surrounded by a large pool with gondolas taking guests for romantic rides.

I love the images you have here! The interior looks absolutely divine, and some of the exterior shots look very artistic! Glad you had a fantastic time, going to Vegas is definitely on my 'bucket list'.

I used to live in Las Vegas and the Venetian was my favorite hotel on the Strip. Your pictures bring back such wonderful memories. I'm happy to hear that you had a great time. And yes, the drive is so beautiful. I used to drive from Vegas and into Orange County many times and I love all the mountain views. Simply gorgeous.
Great pix, thanks for sharing...the Venetian was my absolute fave when I visited a few years ago and I vowed that I would one day stay...hasn't happened yet...but it is so gorgeous!!

Las Vegas is so over the top... I love going there to people watch. Did you hear those chimes for a couple of days after leaving?

I was in Las Vegas a couple of months ago and the Venetion is lovely as it the Bellagio and so many others. The gorgeous opulent details of the decor is hard to soak all in. So glad you had a great time. San Diego isn't too shabby either!
