Pavillion Department Store
I'm very excited to be going on my first trip to Kuala Lumpur next month. My hubby is going for work and I get to tag along for the ride. I've been doing a little research to check out some great shopping but I'm happy if anyone out there has some suggestions! How gorgeous does this department store look? Tracey xx

Wow...now that's exotic!!
It looks like it will be a great place to go shopping:). I hope you find lots of wonderful bargains. Enjoy:)
Hi Tracey,
Oh KL, you will love it! My mother is from there and I have been many times.
I would suggest heading straight Pavilion in Bukit Bintang for all the Western stores (think Zara and Topshop). Don't bother too much with the others in the area, Pavilion has it all, and it's quite a beautiful complex.
The Curve, KLCC and Mid Valley are pretty similar to Pavilion, same shops different place, though probably only KLCC is as nice as Pavilion. Might be worth a visit if your interested in the Twin Towers.
Sungei wang in Bukit Bintang is a maze of small, cheaper stores that might be worth a look too, for something a bit different.
Petaling Street in Chinatown after dark is fun for a visit too.
Hope that helps. x
I had a great time in KL. Did quite a bit of shopping in the luxury mall attached to our hotel, the Ritz.
What I much prefer though, is walking the streets, the markets and haggle over prices. If you have a chance, do fly to Langkawi, i spent the most fabulous holiday there 2 Christmases ago. Posted a short story on it a while ago...
