Watching and waiting.........

this is our lovely Brisbane River turned into a raging rapid
Our street!! We cannot get anywhere near our office but estimate that the height of the water will be around one metre over the floor. Big clean up next week!
Top of our street. we are at the other end near the river.

Hope the clean up isn't too horrible and that you haven't lost too much. I'm not quite sure where all the sludge that will be on the streets and in homes and businesses will go! There is a whole lot of water just near us but we are on a hill so have been very lucky.

I feel very bad for all those effected by the horrific flooding. I'm holding out hope that your damage and clean-up is minimal. Let's hope for a better 11 months ahead for this New Year.

Hearts going out to you all. I usede your images and Absolutely Beautiful Things images in a post just now and linked back. My brother lives in New Castle & Sydney (he teaches at Uni of NC ~ Marketing) and I hear updates through him. Glad he & his expecting significant are safe but feel terribly for you all. Be safe and keep us posted via your blog. I live in Atlanta, GA and we had like 6" of snow then freezing sleet and still cannot drive on our street & kids are out again tomorrow. But this, this is nothing to your situation...you are all in our prayers. Best to you, Margaret
